![]() ![]() The research instruments were Filipino short stories and interview for the focus group discussion. In addition, the study used the purposive method and the respondents were secondary students especially Grade 7. ![]() ![]() The comparison of the two groups was cited by the theory of Constructivism. The two groups compared with their level of reading proficiency Frustration, Instructional and Independent. The experimental group of students used the Collaborative method in reading while the other group, the controlled group of students used the traditional one with the same content of questionnaires. This study was a Quasi Experimental which composed of two groups there are 26 students in experimental and 24 students in controlled group and total of 50 students, each group has pretest and post-test. Every teachers aims to have students who are having a best reading skills in their class, yet unexpectedly that there are some students who are struggling readers as well as in dealing with their comprehension. ![]()
